How can a local bar and grill use the internet to increase revenue by 11% in one year?

THE PROBLEM

Sharkey’s is an exciting bar and grill that provides their customers with a fun-filled atmosphere complete with beach volleyball, live music, beach-inspired food and tons of sports-filled TV’s. Although they had a loyal following to begin with, they wanted to reach people outside of their regular customer base. For this, they needed to harness the reach of the internet to find and attract those people.

THE RESULTS

Good Monster helped build the Sharkey’s brand with video, digital media, events and contests. By integrating these strategies, we were able to help Sharkey’s improve customer engagement and rapidly build a profitable local community. Good Monster helped Sharkey’s build a thriving digital community of 25,638 people, and achieve an 11% increase in revenue from 2014-2015.

Good Monster came up with the idea and fully-produced a weekly YouTube show which featured footage from the previous weekly concerts as well as promoted the upcoming show. Our very own John Timmerman even hosted the show! Yea, it was pretty cool.

WEBSITE DESIGN

Sharkey’s needed to refresh their website for two reasons:

  1. It needed to be mobile-friendly so visitors could easily check upcoming concerts and events,
    and Google wouldn’t penalize their site for not being responsive;
  2. They needed to optimize their conversions to engage more people to join their email newsletter.

SOCIAL MEDIA

In order to amplify the news about upcoming concerts, special events, and contests, Good Monster created and managed Facebook Ads to engage new potential patrons. An average of 100 clicks to the website for $25 a week. Not too bad huh?

EMAIL MARKETING

The final step to developing a solid online engagement is to keep your audience engaged and coming back to your website again and again. To accomplish this Good Monster developed an email campaign that engaged people to opt-in, kept them informed about upcoming events, and gave them exclusive access to contests.
