Social Media Specialist

Good Monster is looking for self-motivating social media specialists to handle local accounts. This is a contractor position allowing you to be your own boss, work at your own pace and gain valuable experience interacting with businesses and their customers. The ideal candidate will have a wild imagination, a strong work ethic and the need to always better themselves and their work. Happy and hard-working individuals are the best fit to be Good Monsters. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and manage social media strategy
  • Define most important social media KPIs
  • Manage and oversee social media content
  • Measure the success of every social media campaign
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Use social media marketing tools such as Etus/Hootsuite
  • Attend educational conferences
  • Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Product Development teams
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
  • Provide constructive feedback

Requirements:

  • Must be a writer or express excellent content writing skills
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Excellent time management
  • Knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Google+, Pinterest and YouTube 
  • 1 year experience developing online strategies

 

Details

  • Located in Rochester, NY or willing to relocate
  • Work-from-home position with “Virtual Office hours’
  • Hourly pay rate (Salary + benefits if moved to full-time)
  • Contract to a full-time position
  • Pay incommensurate with skill level
